Hello, World! Backyard Bugs by Jill McDonald is For the most part this book is good and my kid likes it. Why 3 stars? Apparently the authors don't know that Ladybugs eat aphids, not leaves. I guess they couldn't be bothered to do a basic google search on the roughly 10 bugs they featured.
Hello, World! Backyard Bugs by Jill McDonald is This is a favorite book for my 18 month old. There are so many details to find on each page, and some of the pages even include simple activities - count the legs on the spider, wiggle like a worm, point to the spots on the ladybug, trace the caterpillar's branch with your finger. We have 3 books in this series, and would recommend all 3 - we also have Birds and Weather.

Hello, World! Backyard Bugs by Jill McDonald is I'd give the book 5 stars if the author hadn't wrongly asserted that ladybugs munch leaves. I get they were going for alliteration, but it doesn't seem right to include wrong information.
